Episode 14: Gorp Gorp…Or…The Tamaranian Festival Of Berating Drapery

In this episode of “Mary and Andy Geek Out” we finish Season 3 of Teen Titans and discuss episodes “Can I Keep Him,” “Bunny Raven…Or…How I Learned To Make A Titananimal Disappear,” and “Titans East” part 1 and 2.  We talk about the lovely relationship between Starfire and Silkie, the cleverness of the Beast Boy lamp, and Brother Blood’s unhealthy obsession of Cyborg.

Episode 13: Agro British Beast Boy

In this episode we review Teen Titans Season 3 episodes “Revolution,” “Wavelength,” and “Beast Within.”  We talk about the weird tonal inconsistencies of that weird Mad Mod episode, Aqua Lad being overly dramatic, and the episode that launched a thousand Beast Boy/Raven ships.

Episode 12: Amoeba Clone Army

In this episode of “Mary and Andy Geek Out,” we watch and review Teen Titans Season 3 episodes “Crash,” “Haunted,” and “Spellbound.”  We ponder about Beast Boy’s weird powers, we gleefully say Slade’s name, and we wonder what makes dark magic dark magic.

Episode 11: Hawkgirl and Batman Knockoffs

In this episode of “Mary and Andy Geek Out,” we continue our “Teen Titans” series review and begin watching Season 3.  The episodes reviewed are “Deception,” “X,” and “Betrothed.”  We talk about Cyborg’s struggle with his humanity, voice actor’s James Hong’s impressive career and talent, and how the show glossed over the fact that Blackfire killed her parents.  Fun stuff!

Episode 10: After the Fracturing Betrayal

In this episode, we return to Teen Titans and finish watching season 2; these include episodes “Betrayal,” “Fractured,” and “Aftershock” parts 1 and 2.  We talk about Beast Boy’s character inconsistencies, Terra’s story arc, and what the heck was with that Larry episode??

Episode 9: Goosebumps-Escape from the Carnival of Horrors

In this episode, we take a break from our Teen Titans Retrospective and dive into the Goosebumps spinoff series “Give yourself Goosebumps.”  We originally planned to tackle both Escape from the Carnival of Horrors and Scream of the Evil Genie but we had so much fun reading the first book that we did a whole episode on it!  We tackled a Reptile Petting Zoo, played a Wheel of Chance with a parrot, and revived an evil dummy.

Episode 8: Alien Puberty

In this episode, we continue our Teen Titans retrospective and look at episodes “Transformation,” “Titan Rising,” and “Winner Take All” from Season 2.  We talk about Starfire’s race and their bad sex education, how fun it would be to play volleyball with the Titans, and Speedy’s important role in comic book history.  Andy also goes off on a tangent talking about one of his favorite cartoon shows, Jackie Chan Adventures.

Episode 7: Raven Herself

In this episode we geek out about Teen Titans, Season 2, episodes “Only Human,” “Fear Itself,” and “Date with Destiny.”  We talk about Cyborg’s identity issues, Control Freak’s gross appearance, and how Robin can be the funniest Titan if written right.  Fantastic episodes all around for Season 2!

Episode 6: The Tamaranean who Leapt through Time

In this episode we return to Teen Titans Season 2 focusing on episodes “How Long is Forever?” “Every Dog has its Day,” and “Terra.”  We talk about wibbly-wobbly-time travel shenanigans, Easter Island man-babies, and Slade creeping on Terra.  And does anyone else notice how Raven doesn’t mind being licked by an alien dog?

Episode 5: Lostalgia-“Give Yourself Magination Goosebumps”

In this episode, we explore our lostalgia, nostalgia over media that hasn’t been popular since it debut.  Mary talks about “Magination,” the Gameboy Color game while Andy talks about the Goosebumps spin-off series “Give Yourself Goosebumps.”  We gush about why we love our respective nostalgia and the probable reasons why they haven’t been popular since they debuted.
